Well, it turns out there wasn't much tension against the slide stop. It easily moved up with the slide removed. I marked the spot where the plunger rests against the slide stop in the downward...

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say that the original acronym for the product (RIG) turned into the brand name, which lead to their oil product being named "RIG oil".

BTW...I've used RIG grease...

Just found multiple videos on Youtube demonstrating accuracy of slugs from shotguns. Old Hickok45 was putting them on target with open sights at 230 yards.

Agree with the consensus. I had a mag malfunction once because I believe I'd not cleaned the mag in a while and the gunk inside caused two rounds to bind and not allow them to move upwards.
