Out of those two looks like your only choice is...

Out of those two looks like your only choice is Kimber since Springfield's only 6" gun is a 10mm. Nice thing about that particular Kimber compared to other Kimbers is it has no firing pin safety.

How about some pictures of the 1911? Sounds like a GI-issued that somebody might have modified. No matter what I wouldn't sell either the 1911 or the rifle.
