I own 4 Springfields. 2 Mil Specs, My Mil Specs are tack drivers eat all hardball I feed them from many different magazines. I hope yours is as good.

I would take it out and shoot the heck out of it. My trigger seems to have smoothed up some. I can shoot my Mil Spec better than my Range officer.

I have two Defenders Mil Spec. I could shoot the Mil Spec better than my Range Officer. The RO now has a short trigger and arched mainspring housing. Still need to get back to the range.

I have two Mil Spec Defenders. The first one is a tack driver and works great with all the magazines I have. I have not shot the newer one. Great guns in my opinion. Both have pinned ejectors.

I handled one at a LGS. The slide stop was very hard to unlock. They had another one in the back room that was great. I bought it. Runs perfect with all my magazines. Some are tighter than others.

It's the same gun. But it ships in a cardboard box with 1 magazine. Comes with plain checkered grips. I really like the one I have. Very good shooting 1911.
