Buy a standard (unramped) barrel, but the feed ramp angles differ slightly for 45 & 9mm. Compromise.
Some (me included) strongly prefer ramped barrels for 9mm 1911's. ...

Good load with mellow recoil.

3.7gr Clays with a coated 230 at 1.250 ran fine in my stock sprung guns.
3.8gr should be good with a coated 230 and 18.5# spring.

Why not run Minor PF 45 ammo and spring accordingly. Punching holes is still just as rewarding and less punishing.

I'd keep the metal ammo can off the basement/slab floor or keep something under it if you live in humid climates. No direct contact with the foundation is better long term.
