Might be just me but I'd likely query the barrel manufacturer about (especially) the recommended spring rate. Bull weight, unlock and how it's carried matter.

Another barrel will fit but all barrels should be fitted taking care to meet minimum safety criteria. MIlSpec GOvt 1911 parts are relatively interchangeable but still barrel fit should be checked...
