Looking to accurize one of my Garands.

I have a bunch of the CMP special grades. To date I have just been casually plinking with them using HXP ammo. Shooting offhand for fun as opposed to off of a bench for accuracy.

On a good day I...

If you get one with a heavy enough barrel.

You can use it to pound fence posts in. :dope:

You have to wonder who offed who with it. It probably did not end up in the lake by accident.

Nothing says go away better!

What reticule did you get in the scope?

I went with a P4 fine on the one that I put on my Accuracy international, and I really like it.

On my Noveske I kind of went middle of the road for optics.

It wears a Leupold VX-VI 1X6 Kind of a one gun to do it all kind of rig. Then I have the AR-10 with a Trijicon 1X8 if I need to step it up a little bit more. But I guess that it does not count as...

Well if you have the resources to provide for such a thing.

I would say that you should go for it. The rest of us poor folks have to rely on what we can. Just sayin.

I think that a distinction can be made.

Between market pricing and gouging.

I really can not imagine.

Why your average self respecting homeowner would be without one. I mean heck you have a lawn mower, and probably a weed whacker as well. And hopefully some means of pest removal.

Well the AR type...

Unless we get pics and specs.

Then it did not happen.
Hippie Zen Buddha Feng Shui Karate Master thing notwithstanding. And I am not referring to the British junk.
Tell me that it is a 327 Tri power.

That is a hell of a scope for that rifle!

Should be pretty awesome! If you can not hit with that rig, then something is wrong. Probably not the rifle or glass. Is that a 5 to 25 S&B?

To start out with.

I work with what I have. If that will not prove satisfactory. Then I move on to something that will.

Anyone looking to bulk up their spares locker.

I would give some serious consideration to the Barrett REC-7. I picked one up in February and have been nothing but pleased with it. Put a Kahles Helia RDS on it and I am impressed, the RDS being a...

This is exactly correct!

Which is exactly why the people of this country will not fall by the wayside. For the simple reason that should it come to pass that a feeble old man like Joe Biden gets elected in the fall. And...

Funny how every sky is falling chicken little is saying.

That Dopey Joe being elected will be the end of the world as we know it.

Some people just need to get a life IMO.

Dopey Joe, yeah he is a real threat to us.

I went to order some magazines from them yesterday.

And of course having forgotten this one of millions of passwords, I had to reset. So I waited for the E-mail and waited and waited. Long story short is that someone else got the business. Still have...

Anyone seen any price gouging yet?

So far most dealers appear to be toeing the line. Ammo has gone up across the board. But even there, not over the top. Ammo has been pretty cheap for a fairly long time.

But as luck would have it....

I got an E-mail from the CMP the other day.

They are still selling them, and I bet they are not asking thirteen bills for one either. We had a really clean all original specimen in the LGS not long ago. At a grand it sat for quite a while. Not...

My take away from a lot of the threads that have shown up here of late.

Is that the collecting of these handguns is quickly going the way of any number of collectors of highly sought after, and limited supply artifacts as well as artworks.

A limited supply of said...
