Trigger bows didn't fit...

I'd never posted a follow up to this topic.

The TriGlide triggers were to tall to fit into the RRA wad guns. The top of the trigger is about .007 too tall. Taking this much off won't work on...

Will experiment with SVI trigger parts soon...

I have three wadcutter .45s I use for Bullseye. Two are RRAs and one's a custom SVI Infinity, which has become my primary gun Bullseye .45 for the past year and a half.

Aside from the light...

A matter of perspective

RRA doesn't have an "assembly line" waiting for orders. They build to order.

Even Milt Sparks holsters take 6 to 9 months, and they've recently had to put a monthly stop on orders when the sixth...

I'm not surprised. The GM45A Federal Gold Medal Match has been easier to find. It's one of the top three or four loads for my Hardball gun. Still a lot of $$, though -- over $20 a box, easily. ...

LSP 972,

Agreed if you're not looking for that kind of 50 yard accuracy, you don't have to take the time or the money :D

Since you bought the NMC Hardball, and not a "Carry" model, you should...

Nice NM Harball!

Just catching up on the forum after a bit.

I'd not seen one of the NMC Hardball guns with the blued hammer. Makes the gun look a lot different!

Moving the barrel out of battery before...

Sent you a PM

I sent you a PM with an email address of a dealer who has an RRA NM Hardball pistol in stock.

Dry fire is a great exercise. You don't have to hold the gun out, just make sure the gun's clear and point it toward the ground.

I just cycle the hammer back and click, hammer-click,...

I sometimes use my LM for carry, and was once quite surprised to notice the safety off while the gun was holstered. I'm not sure how it got that way, but it was easy to reset the safety from the...

I returned home from Camp Perry last Wednesday. Thanks to Chuck and the team from RRA for the great support, once again!

The National Match Hardball gun got me well up into the President's 100...

Not likely, the 9 shots in 1" was Chuck's test target. I'll start another thread on this one :)

Seems the bushing may have less to do with accuracy than some think. My new Wadcutter printed a 1" group at 50 yards, though I've not put it in a ransom rest myself yet.

The bushing twists and...

I've seen folks that shoot revolvers "across the course" for Bullseye... They're lots of fun in Rapid Fire!

Bullseye is pretty simple. Hold and trigger are critical. But a 3" gun (50 yards) won't give you tens all the time if you have a 3" wobble (that'd be a pretty good hold). The 10 ring is just...

In my case, at least (where I extracted two cases and left the bullets in the chamber), it was definitely the bullet keeping me out of battery.

Using a dowel to shove both bullets clear of the...

I find it's length to the shoulder that matters, as long as OAL is ok, that's where your problem lies.

Notice how much longer these three are to the end of the shoulder -- that's what's hanging...

Ok, y'all know my Wadcutter had a similar problem. But just with 200gr Meister LSWC in Federal brass. R-P brass, OK. Starline, OK (just hate reloading Starline). Other LSWC, such as Star 185gr,...

I should probably add that on Center Fire day, I cleaned my first 25yd target 100-5x in .45 cal. (I've done it with .22 before, so doing it with the .45, and having that happen at Perry is a...

With the Remington 185gr JSWC, it's working great! I shot the Nationals with it with no problems, and I'll shoot our short course State Championships with the same ammo over the weekend. No alibis,...

My LM took 2 years, due to problems with the sub doing the finish. Stick with the "usual" finishes and you can avoid that problem.

My Wadcutter was off-the-shelf and took 2 days.

The hardball...

Just to close this one out, I had Chuck look at the chamber length since he's here at Perry. Yep, just a little short.

Couple of seconds with the reamer, and all's good. I didn't bring any of...

Checked in the same barrel I shot them. Am convinced I need to check the OAL and depth to shoulder a little shorter the next time.

Oh -- and this ammo hasn't had the same problem since. Perhaps...
