38 Super (and modern loaded 38 Super +P) is a neat caliber, but in 2020 I don't think it is practical for duty use.

The problem with 38 Super for duty use is the lack of available ammunition.

Alliant Red Dot

I loaded up a 185gr SWC over 4.5gr of Alliant Red Dot (newest "cleaner" variety) crimped at .469. Bullet was seated right around 1.226.

Gun is an old Kimber customized by Dave Berryhill long ago...
