The big dots are fine for close range shooting, I have them on my S&W Shield. However, for longer range shooting, the target is somewhat hidden behind the large front sight.

Disassemble the Lee 357 mag. decaping & powder thru dies, tumbled in media to remove minor surface rust. Oiled said dies and readjusted to proper settings.

I wasn't having the same issues you were trying to over come, but I followed the steps you suggested anyway. After doing so, the iPhone seems to be working more sufficiently.

I occasionally use a Pact electronic scale only...

I occasionally use a Pact electronic scale only to get me close to the desired powder weight. Then I use a Dillon's 'Eliminator' Scale for fine measurements.
