The answer is they are not. I had my Supergrade fit with an oversized Wilson 33G barrel by one of the best hard fit smiths out there.

The steel frame gun has the Ryan Wilson hi-grip modification. Both the undercut and grip safety are cut higher. I will post some pictures to point out the differences.

Even with the drop-in/semi drop-in nature of this barrel the fit is poor. It may be good enough for you but I find it unacceptable even at this price point.
