Pretty easy to push the button in and push the lever down.
If there something physical keeping you from doing this?

If the comment from securityman, refers to a S.A. 1911 Mil Spec Defender vs. a Tisas 1911, the S.A. Defender has a forged carbon steel frame and is not an alloy framed gun.
