I have owned 3 Kimbers, nary a problem with any of them. My most recent, a Stainless Target II in 9mm has been my favorite. Kimbers are nicely finished, lots of features, and are priced reasonably....

There is no wrong answer to your question, it's totally personal. I have a Stainless Target II in 9mm and absolutely love it, of course mine's a 5 inch bbl model. Some shooters will not buy a 1911...
