Would the Accu-Rails provide any lift to the slide? Enough metal was removed from the front of the rails that the front of the slide dips (in battery) and is rubbing on the frame.

You are correct Steve. I cannot get that case or a loaded cartridge to sit flush against the breech face.

Steve....I have tried Ed Browns, Colts, Kimbers, and Nighthawks. The problem occurs with every brand.

Thanks for all the replies! The photo from subscriber is exactly my issue. It occurs with a slew of different magazines. Five are brand new Ed Brown magazines. My other six 1911s have no problems...
