So why wait for the inevitable?

If this is really the way that you feel why not just go and throw yourself off of a cliff and get it over with, I mean really!

I can only hope that we will not see a bunch of blood suckers show up here.

And dance in glee at the idea of a sick old lady passing to things beyond her control. I would like to think that most of us here are above that. Just sayin!

As is usually the case, you make some pretty astute observations Chrys.

No doubt that is the case here.

Certainly Les Baer's reported declining production can be interpreted in a number of ways. This to include the possibility that he is just losing interest in the...

Thank you for the comeback.

We have the Varget, will look for some 155 grain SMKs.

In the meantime, we will be making some noise tomorrow and see what we can see. We have some HXP loaded up for sight in as this Harrington...

I only have Scott Duffs books to date. We will look at this. Thanks again.

Thanks for the tip.

I am actually going to try to get out there tomorrow. I am curious to see how this Hornady match ammo performs.

This is a very good point.

Ferrari probably does not sell a whole lot of cars either.

I put a Kahles Helia RDS on my newest gun.

It weighs about nothing. Sharp and bright. Still have do a check out run with it though.

To get groups like that?

Well said. And I think that Les Baer continues to market a quality product.

Granted that I only have one gun from Baer, but I am pretty happy with it. Do I think that other gunsmiths turn out quality guns that may meet or exceed what you get for your money from LB. Perhaps...

I clean my guns when I feel like it.

Which is generally not too often. Even then it is usually pretty cursory. Hose them down with Kroil and then blow them out with compressed air. Never had an issue

Well I have been shooting one of my Springfield's with HXP.

Been pretty happy with it in general. But next day out I am thinking that I will take out one of my Harrington and Richardson guns out with some Match ammo. And see what I can do. I have been sitting...

The illusive dsk actually has a sense of humor after all. Who would have thunk it? :hrm:

I also qualified it with "on a good day".

Not all days are that good. And even on the good ones I do not hit it every time that I shoot.

A bunch of us were inquiring after him not long ago.

Some of the people were inquiring after you as well. I told them that you come and go. And that you may not have as much idle time on your hands as some of us do. :dope:

Lots of people just do not keep ammo on hand.

They think that they can just run out and get some when they need it. Then they get jammed up in times like this.

How often does that happen?

When I first saw it I was hoping that it was going to show Cappi's name there and then I zoomed in. Maybe you should buy a lottery ticket US. ;)

With an Eagle eye like that. It is no wonder that...

I knew that I would get some good advice here.

This is likely the way that I am going to go for now. The rifles that I have are all in like new condition, some with new Criterion barrels. The service grade specials from the CMP. Also a couple of...

Looking to accurize one of my Garands.

I have a bunch of the CMP special grades. To date I have just been casually plinking with them using HXP ammo. Shooting offhand for fun as opposed to off of a bench for accuracy.

On a good day I...

If you get one with a heavy enough barrel.

You can use it to pound fence posts in. :dope:

The one fished out of a lake.

You have to wonder who offed who with it. It probably did not end up in the lake by accident.

Nothing says go away better!

Than the business end of a double barreled twelve gauge pointed at you. IMO

What reticule did you get in the scope?

I went with a P4 fine on the one that I put on my Accuracy international, and I really like it.
