Get it and coat it. Stainless guns will rust as Ricky T stated due to it being 400 series and has higher iron content than the traditional 304 or 316.

No experience with a T3 lwt, but shot my dad's T3 next to a Kimber Compact which has an aluminum frame is roughly the same size. Honestly, prefer the weight of the T3 better. Better balance.
