Not sure the velocity, but I have other 9s, like my VP9, where the HST gives me the smallest groups by a good margin. 9s have so little recoil in general that I would be surprised if that were the...

EDC x9 ammo

My edc x9 shoots tiny groups with my 124 handloads and asym barnes based 115s, but they blow up with 147 gn hst. Any reason known for this? Groups are a good double in size. It doesn't matter to...

Read it again. What I wrote is correct. It is a moderate load with higher pressure because of the particularities of the bullet. It creates pressure in the chamber, but not much recoil as it isn't...

It is +p rated. Not all +p is the same. Barnes is +p because of the length of the bearing surface, not the strength of the load. It is not the same animal as a ranger +p or whatever. Maybe Wilson...

The safety goes the opposite direction. The system is basically a total turd. Like a penis on a beautiful woman. The standard is either decode only, ala p series sig, or decock or cocked and locked,...

The glued ejector is a Springfield thing. It is kind of annoying. The pins are fine, the small parts can all be upgraded pretty easily. It is a milspec 1911, but that is a good starting place.

Don't let anybody tell you a SA Milspec is a crappy gun. It is a great set of bones without any frills.

Asym and Black Hills both make excellent ammo with that same bullet. They generally run slightly faster than Barnes, but are pretty close.

I think the bottom line is that given excellent terminal performance (highest tier,) you should pick ammo that is the easiest to shoot (least recoil) and that is sufficiently accurate for its task. ...

There is zero reason to go with +p HST. Regular pressure is perfect. My favorite carry ammo for 9mm is ASYM barnes 115s.

The two aren't similar at all. Regional differences don't create two classes of people. In any sort of just society, those making the laws and enforcing them are, if anything, more restricted than...
