I have not owned the full length model, but I do believe the dust cover length is the only difference. They both have the full length guide rod and a bull barrel.

Yes, it can be confusing with all of the different finishes.
Parkerize, Black T, Armory Kote, and Hot Salt Bluing are all different types of finishes.

Springfield uses a lot of Checkmate mags as their OEM.
I have never had trouble with Checkmate mags, and I like the fact they have the dimpled follower too.

Very quality pistol with excellent accuracy and a very good trigger, or at least mine is!
I have the TRP Operator with half rail and bull barrel.

I think most of the new SA pistols are pinned. The range officer that I recently purchased was built this year and it is pinned. My TRP built in 2017 is not pinned, but this has never been as issue.

I wanted to get the trigger closer to my TRP, get something different for a front sight instead of the black on black, and to fix the finish.
