I think you will be very pleased with your 1911 in 9 mm. I know that a 1911 in 9 mm chambering gets a lot of criticism from some folks, but I just love the low recoil of this cartridge.

My Kimber wears a Smith & Alexander one piece MSH and magwell. Not in the same league as a Chen, but still fits really nice and is rock solid.
