removable butt plate Mec Gar mags

is there some trick to removing these. I have depressed the center 'pin' but I can't get the butt plate to slide off. any thoughts? Also these are 9mm high cap mags but they do not have the spacer...

New Gold Cup Lite

Picked up a new GC Lite (38Super) in two tone. Added a magwell and a set of Boone Trading grips I had in the parts drawer. I like the way it turned out.
