hitting a large gong at 80 yards is not too difficult, you learn the guns trajectory and aim a little high , kind of like a mortar effect and walk the rounds in until it gets a hit.

I like both types, but for a modern combat handgun , I'll take the extended base , flared magwell, ejection port , etc

for the original WW2 GI M1911A1 , I prefer flat base and old style low...

they use a titanium .38 super sized FP so it passes the drop safety tests

plus SA uses a stainless steel barrel...
