Mags not locking back is a common Spec Ops thing. Open the mag and put a more aggressive bend in the top most loop (get it closer to 45 degrees) and it'll be fine. I've done it on 3-4 mags now.

I'm a lucky owner of a Spec Ops after I shot one at the Wilson ranch with Ken Hackathorn. I'm pretty sure I'll get whatever the replacement is as well.
