USMM guy, I`ve probably read a million gun threads and don`t recall ever reading one that was negative towards Marlin lever action rifles. The 45/70 is a real thumper. Very versitile if you reload....

He bought 4 bolt latches from Brownells. One lasts about 60 rounds before it breaks. Kinda sounds like the recoil spring is too light and the bolt is hammering back to me.

AR15 9MM Bolt Latch Trouble:

A buddy has a factory Colt AR15 9mm that breaks the bolt latch where the pin goes through it after about 60 rounds. We`re at a loss how to repair it. Any ideas? TIA, Bob

Jetdriver, the mag extends 1/2" past the bottom of the grip. 3/8" of that is the steel mag body and 1/8" is the base plate that cups around the mag body. The BP 10 IIs were a limited Custom Shop run....
