Try an extra power magazine spring in one magazine. If that magazine works replace all of them. Slowing the slide velocity down with a heavier mainspring may help also.

Blue Loc tite will slow it down and still allow...

Blue Loc tite will slow it down and still allow you to remove the screws easily. Just be sure to thoroughly clean the threads first. Only use Blue.
