The propellant is different and the oil is less viscous.
Maybe I got lucky, ive used CLP on a few melonite guns. After hearing this from you, i wont use that again. Thanks

Hoppes #9 is a brand name. Until recently, its always been mostly associated wa powder solvent. The have been selling a lubricating oil for quite some time though.

Do not use ANY aresol cleaners or lubes, particularly GunScrubber and brake cleaner type cleaners.
