Is what I read a long time ago. I have two, stainless 1911s; one of those was built for me 30-years ago. Have never had a problem w/ either one.

The holster will not be damaged wearing it empty, but I would not advertise the fact that my gun is in my car. Doing so advertises that info to the thieves you work with.
