W.f.m.

.38 super magazines have worked for me in two 1911-pattern pistols chambered 9mm para. Both have ramped barrels: that may have an effect.

As much as I like Berettas, CZs I like even better. Haven't gotten my P-01 yet; but CZ75B & CZ85 are really something. For years they had the best swinging, semi-auto, handgun triggers in my...

it was an awesome speech

President Trump's off-the-cuff remarks can often still make me cringe; his prepared words *always* make me choke up: his love of the U.S.A. shows through and he's very inspiring. If you missed it,...

S&W Mod 29, 5in

2nd, and last so far, handgun purchased in Omaha, NE. The mag-na-porting of the barrel makes this pretty gentle shooting for the caliber.

“Bucks co, PA” caught my eye

The current "Left" -has- no decency; no question.

From what I've read, Senator McCarthy's main fault was lack of couth; not much problem with his facts.

.243Win vs .243WSSM

The ads for AR-15 parts I've seen only cited ".243"; which I noticed because .243 Win. is the caliber of the Savage I bought for my [then] 11yr-old son to prepare for a safari*. The OAL for .243 Win...

Yes, a good thread

Yes, it was a good thread. That thread -may- have been a factor in why after pressing the trigger, on finding the safety was engaged, I took such deliberate care to aim: I'd've been awfully...

We have different situations

My level of testing the trigger is strictly functional. No intention of learning enough to work on it.

You work on them. Presumably you have means to test for correct function that I do not...

gemsbok / oryx

A gemsbok was my 1st big game animal. Gemsbok wasn't on my list when I commissioned the safari. The PH and I were walking up the bank of a creek; as we reached the top, at the far end of a meadow...

Remington Walker trigger

My first big game hunt, a 10-day safari in the RSA at age 53 along with my 11 year old son, was an experience of a lifetime. The Remington 700 5-R that we took on that hunt is a heirloom and...
