STI Website

New guy here so sorry for the potentially stupid question. Why do none of the links for the 2020 guns not work on their website?
Thx

Because technically they have not been released yet. They are just place holders for the models. They should be updated around SHOT show. Poor planning on their web designers part.

The new models ARE appearing. But you are correct that their web people are way behind the curve.

I think they may be working on their FB & IG pages since both say they are not available.

This might tide you over just a little. And yes, the 2020 guns are appearing. I'm picking my Staccato P up Monday.

Hi guys, please excuse my ignorance. I am new to STI and just started roaming around this neck of the woods to learn a bit more on these fine firearms. I see STi treats their models like new cars in a dealership. 2019 models and 2020 models. Whats the deal here?

They’ve gone through a management change. They’re focusing more on the law enforcement, consumer and tactical markets which are much larger than the competition market where they’ve made their name. Up until about 2 years ago they’re models in general had been around for a long time. Once they get settled into the new market and figure out what will work best for them the models will stick around.

I just hope they don't intent to abandon the DVC line as the Staccato line is just unimpressive.

Descartian 01-27-2020 08:15 PM

Yup. DVC is on the outbound train.

They stopped producing new DVC pistols weeks ago. All Staccato only from here on out! In fact, they even got rid of STI too! The renamed the whole brand/company Staccato!

I was at SHOT Show last week, and the initials STI did not appear ANYWHERE in their booth. Just the word Staccato everywhere!

I bought a Staccato P Gen1 about a month ago. Two weeks later I heard they were discontinued, so I grabbed a second Gen1 before they ran out. I really think they ruined the Staccato P with the Gen2. No magwell, no DLC coated barrel, don't like the longer slide/barrel, don't like shortened dustcover, don't like butler cut rail, don't like new hammer, don't like new grip safety, don't like overall aesthetics.

I also got one off Gunbroker once I found out they stopped making them in adult calibers.

markm 01-28-2020 05:37 PM

Well that's good news, it will save me a lot of money. I only got a staccato because it was in 45. But I guess I should grab another open while I can...

Here it is..... :biglaugh:

Please warn people when you do that. I don't want to get women's shoe ads.

I've been away from their site for a fairly good while now. Admittedly.

Imagine my surprise when these new high speed low drag modern semi-autos began showing up with the STI logo on it.

I went to the site to check out these Staccatos and kept looking....and looking....and looking for the prior 1911's....and found they vanished. Poof. Gone.

I felt old and outdated.....all at once. :biglaugh:

Anyway....looking forward to learning more about the new products and their features.
