RMH Knives - CNC 1911 Stocks, Images & Discussion

I've been making some custom 1911 grips in my shop.

You can send me a concept or sketch, and I'll translate it into a 3D relief on the grips. I can do a 3D preview for your approval before making them.

Multiple wood choices are available, or send me your material. Most grips are around $100, depending on the complexity of your design.

I'm considering upgrading to "merchant" status, and I am just gauging interest....

Thank you,

Ron

let's see some examples !

Or, I could use a set with a spiderweb on them for a 1911 with an ambi safety. If you want a "tester".

Nice stuff. I'm guessing that you're a fellow Rhode Islander.

Ron, an email was sent. I have questions.

remanaz 06-09-2014 07:57 PM

I worked with Ron throughout the day on a design I have had in mind for a while. Ron is great to work with. He provided a 3D interactive view that allowed me to see little things I would want different/changed. He nailed it on my idea and I am looking forward to being able to enjoy the grips.

I have asked him to hold off showing the design as I want to be able to show them off first :D.

That is some beautiful work! What kinds of wood do you have available?

harley45 06-09-2014 08:46 PM

I'd also like to know what kinds of wood you have available, I have an idea and would be interested in something very dark almost black.

aiwnios 06-11-2014 04:21 AM

Current available materials include :

Pau Ferro, ebony, imbuia, cherry, sugar maple,
walnut, and green micarta / G10.

I'll cut with wood you supply, as well.

Thanks for the interest, folks...

rogerstg : Yes, I'm in Rhode Island, Burrillville area.

I dig the look, just not the website so much.
The grips look top notch, but you'd do better having a website a person could purchase though.

Jason D -
Thank you for the input. The web site is evolving and might
have payment links at some point....

Wow seems an understatement.

Got my custom order in from Ron. Very happy with the product. These are stained wood, not ebony. Notice how the thumb notch retains the pattern. Super happy with these. I'll have better pics later.

Now might be the time to show off your skills and fill the void left by Larry Davidson...

It's the common "pastel green"...
