The Punisher's 1911's

Can anyone give me any info on them? like what kind are they (i'm assuming theres more than one kind). and stuff like that. i don't know much about 1911's or a whole lot about guns in general. I have been taught to use them though and do own a 20 gauge single shot shotgun and a Walther P-22 pistol. So i'm not completely ignorant as i probably sound.

Looked to me like he took a perfectly good set of Colts and ruined 'em.

They are Colts...he says it in the movie...as did 3 people here already...although he refers to them as his dad's 1911 Colts instead of Colt 1911s...arg hollywood.

They even jam in the lobby scene but he doesnt notice and he holsters it anyway...lewser.

They're blue Colt Gov't Models with the following changes that I can be sure of. Novak sights, S&A magwell, an unknown stainless mag release and an unknown grip safety with bump. He also had the following King's parts, barrel, compensator, ambi-safety and extended slide stop.

I'd look about 1-2 pages back on ''general gun discussion'' a thread called movie shootouts.Someone said who made them.
Looking at the pic,I have seen alot better comps!I'd say they are some of the worst I have ever seen!{Well I have not seen them in person or anything so...}

Remember this is Hollywood we're talking about here. It only has to look good not function.

Dwolf00,

Way to stand at the plate and smash one to the moon.....you DO know your parts.

I've seen the movie a number of times and I'm building a replica of it. The only change I am making to mine is that I'm using an enhanced series frame.

No I'll be sticking to one replica. I have several other 1911 projects I'm working on and one Punisher replica is enough for me.

Have you gotten the Kings barrel and compensator yet? if so could you post pics of it. I am assuming it is part number 800 from there online catalog, I am thinking of making a trip up to see them and getting a comp fitted to my 1911. I want it both for looks and for function, So any info you can give me on how your project is coming is appreciated.

I have the barrel and comp, but unfortunately I don't have any way of post pics at this time.
