iShot Tournament Bag...GREAT!!!!
Finally got to take my new iShot Tournament Bag to the range today. It is awesome! I packed everything I needed and then some and it was great. A guy I work with bought one when I did and he used his today for the first time also. He thinks it is great. So, anyone looking for a great range bag, I highly recommend this bag. You won't be sorry! Dan

Yeah, I got one recently and they are very well made. The only downside is that its pretty big and by the time you get it fully loaded it weighs a ton!
I also wouldn't mind seeing it have a handle built in to the top to grab it by when placing it behind the seat, but I suppose it'd be harder for it to take the weight that way. It'd make it easier to grab when you already have stuff in the other hand, and without having to wrap the two side handles together, if you know what I mean. Still, well made and has all the nooks and crannies.

I bought the I-Shot Pro Shooters model about two months ago. I have been nothing but pleased with the bag. Several of my shooting buddies have gotten the same bag just because of seeing mine. The customer service at I-Shot is top notch. If any of you have a problem with your I-Shot bag, DO NOT hesitate to call because your problem WILL be taken care of immediately!

Revolver range Tournament bags
Are the revolver tournament bags avalable yet? I would love to have one with xtra pockets for more moon clips
This is the closest i have seen to a good revolver range bag....Gawdddd I hate those "worm" boxes to hold my moon clips somewhere in the 200+ rounds would be nice even if they were removable xpansion pockets...

Photo Not Do Justice
The photo of the i-Shot Tournament Bag doesn't do it justice. It looks small in the photo compared to reality. Mine is all black and it is a beauty! There is room in the bag for anything you should need. I am very pleased with it and highly recommend it to you.

Hey Fredrick,
The wheelgunners bag is being produced right now and I wouldn't have 'em ready for the shelves for a couple more months. Dan, glad you like your new bag BTW, I carry a bunch of stuff in my Tourny including my AR15 mags and mag pouches, etc.

My i-SHOT Range bag is great!
I purchased my Pro Shooter's Range Bag a couple of weeks ago and it is great. I haven't ever owned one range that will hold everything, because they were so expensive. The i-SHOT bag has so many features and at a very reasonable price. Evrything fits in it - 3 pistols, mags, ammo, safety equipment, and an emergency fix-it kit.
The store I purchased it at said they couldn't keep them on the shelves, I think its because they keep them right next to the bags that are twice as expensive! I can't wait for the smaller stage bag (with room for just pistol and magazines) I heard about a while back. So far, I have nothing but great things to say about the i-SHOT bag!

Helmie...Me Too!
Helmie: Just wanted you to know that the last time I went to the range I took my CAR-15 (with cool Karsten's Custom Camo stock on it) and in addition to loading the i-Shot bag with everything under the sun related to my pistol, I also loaded it up with 6 30 rd AR-15 mags, a bandolier of additional ammo, AR cleaning supplies, etc. I still had room for more stuff! I couldn't be happier. You'll recall I ordered two bags. A shooting friend of mine didn't want to be outdone with me having something cooler than him, so he ordered one at the same time I did. He is absolutely thrilled with his Tournament bag also. Keep up the good work!
Regards, Dan

How would you guys compare the iShot to Bagmaster? My Bagmaster ProShooter has a very-durable outer shell that looks brand new even after countless trips to the range. The only downside is a lack of organization due to the fact that there just aren't enough pockets and slots for stuff.
The iShot Tourny bag looks great, but how well does that outer material hold up? I've seen Waller and GreenMtn bags that looked rather frayed and dismayed, but I can't tell how old they were. Will the iShot look the same after a few years in the sun? Will the iShot suffer tears and picks? Will a Pact MkIV timer fit in the glasses pocket beside the water bottle? Is the earmuff pocket padded? Are there any pics of the inside somewhere? I could be buying something new real soon.

i-Shot Tournament Bag
VaughnT: I have not seen or used the other bags you reference. Helmie of i-Shot will have to give you the technical jargon on what the bag is made out of, but is appears to be a tough ballistic looking cloth that as I use it and handle it, does not give me the impression it is going to wear out in my lifetime. The muff pouch is padded. I really like the mag pouch holders inside the outside pouch. I believe it has 8 pouches for mags. And, they are not merely elastic strips. They are actual pockets for the mags. There is an inside bag that pulls out if you ever don't want to haul the hole bag up to the line. Plenty of padding in the bag and plenty of room to carry guns and ammo and anything else you can think of. I keep my stapler and extra staples where shooting glasses are supposed to go in the one outside pocket. Targets fit great inside between the outer bag and pull out bag. Stop looking and just buy this Tournament Bag. Trust me...you won't regret it! It is money well spent. If you have more specific questions, Helmie will answer them for you as he checks this area of the forum out regularly. If you have anything you want me to check on my bag, let me now and I'll happily go get it and answer any of your questions. Regards, Dan

Hey Dan, while I'm working on the final production for our new Tac Carbine cases, the Tourny has been a helluva help with my 3-gun gear. I'm glad your friend is enjoying your new bag too
Dude, thanks for covering the Qs for Vaughn. I'll do my best to explain the rest....Hey Vaughn, first of, let me start by saying that Bagmaster is one of the best bags company I've ever some across. They do great stuff and their Pro Shooter's excellent. They use 1000 denier cordura for their bags and this fabric will last a loooong time. It's hardy as hell. When I first started producing i-SHOT, we had our bags in 1000 denier cordura too until one day when I came across this nylon/polyester fabric with a thicker inside layer of water resistant fabric. I tested it out and was suitably impress. Considering that a lot of us might end putting our bags on wet grass and such, I decided to go with this heavier water resistant material. That said, I still use 1000 denier cordura for other items including our new rifle cases. The outside pockets of the Tourny are all padded. Will the padded eye pouch hold a Pact Timer? I don't own the Pact but at 4.75" across, I don't see why it can't hold one. As for durability, my first bags have been out only 2 years so it's kinda hard for me to say anything other than the fact than we've seen no fabric problems from usage among the 1st batch. We did have a handful of bags from the 2nd production that were cut from a bad batch of 1000 denier cordura (the inside lining was bad) but we did have these replaced with no further issues. As for an inside pix, here's a look from a photo I took for someone who requested a comparison of the insides of a Tourny and our Pro Shooter: Here's what the inside pull-out bag looks like: Hope this helps, Vaugh. |
