I will be in Huntsville, AL all of next week and was wondering if anyone can tell me what gun shops are in the area. Which ones are worth visiting.

Thanks,

Larry's Pistol and Pawn on North Parkway. They have an indoor range as well.
Memorial Parkway is the main north-south road through town. If driving north, Larry's will be on your left after you cross the Oakwood overpass.
There is also J.C.'s, which is on University Drive on the south side, and Wylie's Outdoor Sports, which is off the west side of Jordan Lane.

Larry's!!!

Larry's seemed to be reasonably priced.
Hey, Bill, I lived in Gurley and Huntsville. Worked at Grainger on Jordan Ln.
My oldest was born at Huntsville hospital. Used to fish over in Scottsboro on Saturday mornings and shoot at my uncles place in Maysville on Saturday nights.

Hee, Hee, I used to have to drive through Gurley ever Friday and Sunday night for 3 years on my weekly trips home in Knoxville when I worked at Colbert Steam Plant near Muscle Shoals, AL. I also used to stay in Huntsville when I worked at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant also.

Back from Huntsville, AL

Am back from my trip to Huntsville. You guys were right about Larry's having lots of guns. They didn't have lots of 1911's, maybe one or two from the major makers, Para, Kimber, Springfield, Colt... There were lots of police trade-ins S&W with good prices. The used shotgun racks had lots of used LE shotguns, large number of Rem 870’s priced around $225 - 260.

Didn’t see anything I couldn’t live without.
