I have a Stainless Pro Carry Ten II. Polymer frame with a 4 inch barrel. Shoots very well. Recoil isn't bad at all. I am v ery pleased with it.

If the gun is clean and 5" barrel, $400 is a steal. I have an older one (marked BUL ISRAEL on the dustcover in front of the trigger, and with the SS grip safety) that cost $800 and is worth every penny. It is rapidly becoming my favorite handgun. You can get accuracy work just like on a 1911 (I recommend Ten-Ring Precision in San Antonio, TX) and I understand you can get an after-market steel magazine catch and use high-cap Para mags. 14+1 !! It's like a Glock with a safety but heavy and easier to shoot !!
