You asked for it - Steel Framed Ultra Eclipse

Many of you have asked for a steel framed Ultra Carry.

We are offering a small number of these pistols as an ULTRA ECLIPSE .45 ACP. (this will be a limited Edition)

The pistols will have Night Sights, Checkered Front Strap, Ambi Safety and the Eclipse Finish. (essentially same features as Pro Eclipse - see at www.kimberamerica.com). Suggested retail is same as Pro Eclipse ($1054)

You can order from any Kimber Master Dealer. Kimber item number is 3100008.

Can't get the link to work....?
and don't see it on the website otherwise.
-but I'm sure it's beautiful.

BTW what I'm holding out for, personally, is a compact CDP all steel!
When?
When?!

I would like to see an all stainless steel Ultra Carry (Ultra Carry SLE or Ultra Carry HD). I have never really seen the need for the extra expense over the Custom and Stainless models. Just a stock all stainless steel Ultra Carry would be great. Also, I am still holding out for a long slide Kimber. I can't believe that Kimber is allowing Springfield Armory to control the longslide market. A 6" longslide classic stainless would be great. These two guns would round out my Kimber collection perfectly. Please pass the word. Anybody interested in these two guns call Kimber and put a bug in their ear. They keep track of requests, and enough requests might net us a new model.

Great news except for the fact that just yesterday afternoon I purchased a new Ultra CDP. I was really agonizing over the CDP with the alloy frame and would have prefered a steel frame configuration. However, I got to the range today to check out the new Ultra CDP and I have to say I am a happy with the new purchase.

Oh well, maybe I'll just have to have both!

Cloverleaf's link will work if you delete the right-hand parenthesis and the period at the end. In other words:

Hopefully before you ship them with the garbage Meprolight sights you're now pawning off on unsuspecting customer, you get the problem with the front sight fixed.

Just my nickels worth.

A question, Cloverleaf... I asked my dealer this weekend about an Eclipse Pro. He talked to someone at Kimber who said that it will be "3 to 4 months" before any of the Eclipse guns are available here in Ohio. Is this true? If so, why would you say we can order "from any Kimber Master Dealer", when some of us can't? Please enlighten me.
Regards,
Nugg
