Girsan 1911

Good Day,

I just noticed a 1911 going by the brand name Girsan. Anyone know/hear whether it is a quality piece? It is made in Turkey, as is Regent.

Cheers

I first heard of them yesterday. If you go to Bud's web site they have a brief video of them - the guy in the video seemed complimentary (but he's trying to sell them).

I am about to join the 1911 community (albeit with a non American made one) but I digress. I actually just ordered the mc1911s from buds yesterday, and according to ups tracking I should receive it tomorrow.but I will definitely do a short review on build quality and fit and finish.

your review

Great review. To follow up it would be great to see photos of any improvements &/or work you do to the gun followed by a range or field fire evaluation of how or whether those modifications helped or detracted.

Girsan 1911

I obtained a Girsan 1911 for a customer who wants it brought up to more custom 1911 standards. It won't be done really quickly as I'm not well at the moment but I'll try to keep ya'll posted with photos.
