Jody's Kit commander
Here is a nice Stainless Commander project that was built by Jody for his grandson. He asked me to post up some of his pictures for him because he was having problems getting them to work.... Thanks to Jody for sharing his project with us.

Jody's kit commander
Hello 1911 fans,I am new to 1911 forum.I would like to tell you about the man behind Fusion Firearms. Mr. Bob Serva has and will go that extra mile to help in any way he can.If you call you will talk to Bob and not some 10 step process to get to leave message.I started with a few small parts and moved up to 1911 barrels.Bought 1911 5" ramped 40 s&w barrel for my 10mm Kimber. After I received had to remove a little of hood to get slide and barrel lockup.I filled mag w/reloads and away she went just as should.I put in factory ammo and liked a little locking up,Called Bob and talked to him and where I removed a few thousanths of hood had to have reamed hood length had changed chamber length,I sent barrel back to Bob and reamed to fit for me and NO CHARGE. I wanted new 10mm barrel for this pistol called Bob told him about what was done on 40 s&w barrel and he cut hood and reamed 10mm barrel and sent and drop in it was and shoot a tighter group than factory barrel.Wanted to build this commander size for my Grandson Liam for his first birthday and I had a few issues that I could not figure out sent Brother Bob and email and he had me check a few things and he knew right what to do.This little 1911 turned out right pretty I think and have do not have good camera and pictures do not do pistol justice.I started w/400 grit wet/dry sandpaper and stopped @ 2000 grit. Then polished with blue magic a metal and that is it.I built my grandson a fullsize 1911 when he was born and had name and birth date engraved and if I can find pictures will post them.I had told a man I was building 1911 for grandson and he asked how old grandson was and I told him he was not born yet and I loved his reply Might should buy him a Glock plastic frame would be better for teething. Bottom line and end of my novel is Bob Serva will help you anyway he can and getting to speak to a man with his knowledge an love for 1911's just does not happen often in world we live in today!! If I lived in Binghamtown NY I would work for Bob for free just to learn more about this pistol that Mr Browning designed over 100 years ago.A Special Thanks to Bob and if you want to talk 1911's can and will do all day.Jody Greene

Even though I am probably older than most on this page, I had not heard of Fusion Firearms till I happened on this site and this particular manufacturer's page. I am impressed by what I read and what I have seen. I put in an order for some parts that were shipped out the next day and am looking forward to getting them. Thanks for meeting this customer's expectations.
