Saying hello from SE MO.
Hi all. Just wanted to drop in to do a quick intro and friendly hello. I've been hanging out a while taking in the surroundings and picking up some good info I was looking for along the way. Looks like some great folks out there and a wealth of knowledge you're all sharing.
I'm from SE Missouri. A little city called Cape Girardeau. Live here with my fantastic wife and 3 great kids. I am a REALTOR by trade, but also run an estate sales and a antiquities/collectibles trade business. I'm a former ARMY Huey crew chief. Spent 8 yrs in and had a couple short desert trips. NEVER FORET TO SUPPORT THOSE TROOPS!! Just got back into gun ownership a couple months ago after far too long without any. Grabbed a Ruger LC9 for my ccw, and pick up my Armscor FS Tactical this weekend from a good friend. It maybe has 200 rounds through it and has been cased up for a while. It's my first 1911, and I can't wait to have it. I also do a little woodworking, leather work, and such. I'll have to post up a few little holsters I've made and some of the 1911 grips too. Well, thanks for having this place and letting us hang with so many good people. Look forward to learning much more and meeting some of you. Cheers, Dave

Hope you don't get hit with any flying dinner rolls. I heard that is common in SE Missouri. (do they still do that?)
Welcome to the forum. Since you live in SE MO you are not too far from Berryville AK. Take a quick trip over to Wilson Combat and look at their offerings. They are high end but they are also the best IMO. Our forum only gets better as more and more members add their experiences and knowledge to the pot. See you around, Grumpy

Evening, gents. Thanks for the welcome.
Grumpy; there are definitely flying rolls still in this neck of the woods. Only about 30 miles south lies the original Lambert's Cafe. If your style includes plates full of more food than 3 can eat, continuous roaming servers with free side dishes, flying rolls the size of Andre the Giant's fist, and homegrown hospitality; then look them up if you're ever passing by. I'm glad they aren't closer 'cause they have to roll me out every time we go.

Thanks for the reality check. I meant to type AR (Arkansas) but these old fat fingers keep hitting the wrong keys!
