Escort question
I am considering trading for an sti escort in 45 acp. I have a few questions.
Are they reliable. The guy tells me it never had any malfunctions. The blue slide has some spots, the frame has a small idiot mark. But other than that it looked ok. Would sti honor warranty work on a used gun and are they easy to deal with. I am trading an 1100 dollr gun in perfect condition, is the sti worth that in a little rougher shape finish wise, oh and he has the box and both mags plus he wants to throw in a 100 dollar bill. I was having a hard time finding them for sale used. Thanks |

2 Best to contact STI for that info. 3 Mine cost $1030 new. Why not sell your gun and buy a new Escort? |

The wear on the finish seems normal. I've had no reliability issues with mine. You typically don't see a lot of STI used pistols for sale. They either get snapped up right away or folks don't want to get rid of them.

No reliability issues with my Escort, either. I don't recall the round count at the moment, but my Shadow has well over 3,000 with less than one failure of any kind per thousand rounds and it is the same size and design with a few different features. The only reason I haven't shot the Escort as much is that I bought it in case anything happens to the Shadow, which is my EDC, and it's already proved it's reliability.
