New Sarge Grips for my P238 SAS
These were in the mailbox today. Got them from Ryan (Sarge) at the Finer Grain. They are Desert Ironwood Burl
! The wood is prismatic so the color changes depending on the light - from a light reddish color to bright yellow veins. Perfect fit as well. Ryan was super quick - the grips were here in over the weekend. Thanks Ryan! Best, JAS.

Those are beautiful!
Sarge has an eye for beautiful wood and the skills to make them into excellent grips.

As to how it shoots, here's an pic after my range trip on Wednesday, which also shows the prismatic glows in the wood: ![]() This was 40 rounds, all rapid fire at 7-yards. It loves Speer ammo. The gun is smaller than my open hand so all the rounds except two went into an area no bigger than my hand. Pretty decent for a pocket pistol at 21-feet. In 800+ rounds I've only had two malfunctions. Both came after I had shot 100+ rounds through the pistol. I did not know the why of the first one until the second one happened. It now seems that both rounds were slightly out of spec (diameter to large) so that with a dirty gun the rounds did not go all the way into the chamber, leaving the gun slightly out of battery. The second malfunction confirmed this because it was extremely tight in the chamber and I had a really hard time extracting it. The gun is a joy to shoot! No recoil to speak of and great fit in the hand with the extended magazine. This is an SAS Sig custom shop model and it took me a month to find it. Bill at Rocky Top Tactical found it for me (the same day by the way). He is a great guy, an ex-marine, and I would recommend him for finding these guns.
