Olin Cartridge something or other.

garage sales rock (sometimes) I found a few Colt WWII era slides at one a few years back.

shoot and reaload the cases!

Oddly enough the Olin corp is the same company that acquired the "Squib" company in 1952. Read the Wiki on the company here

Olin Mathieson Chemical Co. was the name of the conglomerate that owned Olin, Winchester, Western Cartridge, HTH Chlorine, A couple of other sporting goods manufacturers, a couple of paper companies, and some other businesses. They sold off most of those. Olin Corp. is now mostly a chlor-alkali manufacturer, but they still own Winchester.

Cool find!!!! Five bucks a box is cheap but it is going to cost you about 1500$ for a original GI 1911 to go with them. I would shoot a mag full just to see what kind of power they have.

You guys have all the luck. At garage sales around here all I ever find is broken furniture, baby clothes, and moldy back issues of National Geographic.

Try not to fall into the common trap of wanting to replace everything on your new 1911 just to make it "better". Know what you're changing out, and why. You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot it for at least 500 rounds, then decide what you don't like and want improved. Vintage 1911's should NEVER be refinished or modified because it ruins any value they had as a collectible firearm.

Sure you do. WCC is Western Cartridge Company which was Olin's military headstamp. The 70 is for 1970.

LOL! Funny you mention that, my subdivision had a community garage sale today and it was mostly junk. No secret Picasso's or even 45 Ball ammo.

That's cool! I found a solid-bottom PGA Tour duffel bag once that I used for a range bag. Real nice bag, with a bunch of side pockets. I always thought it was funny going to the range with a bag that had the PGA logo on the side. Never found ammo though.

Anyway, I'd shoot the ammo.

I believe the POTUS would agree it only fair that you either pay some form of tax on these, or you share these with those less fortunate.
