Tauruss PT1911 first time @ Range

So I got my Taurus PT1911 yesterday and went to the range today. Put 250 rounds down range and was almost flawless. I had 1 FTFeed and 1 FTE. The FTF was an ammo problem and I suspect the FTE was as well.

I was shooting Blazer Clean Fire for most of the day and then ran a box of Tula. The Blazer was nice. It really is "clean fire". There was very little powder around the muzzle. When I switched to the Tula, you could see the difference.

Was the peeled back case caused by the barrel feed ramp? Or...was it a defective Blazer round that came out of the box that way and you missed it?

came out of the box. saw it before loading. tried to chamber it as a test.

already contacted the manufacturer, but they need the round and the box in order to send me free stuff. i tossed the box and disposed of the round before contacting them. going to go through the rest and look for more defects.
