Kimber Super Carry Pro with Laser Grips

I just won a Kimber Super Carry Pro 45 Cal with the Laser Grips added. Pistol is new. This is the third gun that I've won in three weeks but the best overall. Always wanted a nice Kimber but just never was up to the price.

I shoot Sporting Clays for a hobby and that's where I win guns at. I just won a Sig P-238 this past fall with the laser and a few extras. It has a few problems too but I'm working with it.
The other two guns that I won over the past three weeks was a Springfield XD Sub Compact in 9mm with one 13 round mag and a 16 round mag.
The other was a Renato Gambo 28ga semi auto shotgun.

My question/s, Is this gun a good one? Any problems I need to look for? Break in, 500 rounds?

I don't know if I'll carry this one or not. I have several carry pieces that function flawlessly. I've read a few bad reviews of this pistol about jams and a few stove pipes regularly.

Do any of you have this model Kimber and how does it function for you?
I'm a caster and make most of my own ammo but what does it like to eat?
I'm talking SD ammo.

Thanks, Sam

likes to eat everything.i had one a while back. greatpistol and GREAT WIN! $1,500 retail sam! +10,000 to you!

and jams and stovepipes are natural break in issues with kimbers. the tighter the gun is made the more prone it is to this. the looser the less. so dont worry too much. my Raptor had stovepipe issues till about 200rnds but now im past 1,000 and she purs like a kitten

The standard Kimber Super Carry Pro doesn't come with Laser.

The gun was customed at the store and the Kimber laser grips were installed there. So the gun has night sights plus laser.

Winning the guns on raffles. It appears that the same luck does not work on the lottery.
I just had the Kimber shipped today. My daughter will pick it up for me since I'm in tx with a La residence. I'll go home next weekend and pick the pistol up from her.

Do you have a picture of the SuperCarry with Laser Grips. I have not seen any with the laser grips. I have a Super Carry Custom HD and have yet to see a set of laser grips for Kimber's version of the bobtail.

Sam, that sounds like the same gun I've been loving for the last five months. First gun I've ever bought/owned, and added the Crimson Trace grips in the first week. In the first couple boxes of ammo it had a handful of hiccups, but nothing since. I'm guessing, but think there have been 400 or so rounds so far. It's a great shooter, and beautiful to boot. I've been using Blazer Brass ball ammo at the range, and for SD it likes Golden Sabers and Federal HST just fine.

Not that it's an incredibly old thread at 6 months, but it's old, and was within a week of the last time the OP even signed on to the forum. I think he's gone, 'till the next time he gets a new Kimber and does another drive-by.
