You can, these boards just don't save the sent message to your Sent Items folder by default.

You can change that option by doing the following:

Log in to your Control Panel.
Under the "Settings and Options" menu click on Edit Options
Scroll down a little bit and click "on" the check-box that reads "Save a copy of sent messages in my 'Sent Items' folder by default."
Save the changes and you're done.

thanks, I'm sure I look like a dunder head, I sent 3 message to the same person with no indication that anything is happening. :-( I'll try the suggestion in the above message.
