Yep picked up my SW1911 E-Series today
I'm in love been fantasizing for some time. This is my 1st gun, I guess I'm old enough to start at the top

Yea I did my research and it was pretty clear to me what I wanted. I started this journey last summer with a simple gun class and took my time. Once I figured I keped comming back to a 1911 I pretty much stopped looking at anything else. Been lurking here for a long time now it seems LOL

Congrats. I have several guns but earlier this year I wanted to get a 1911. I was looking for one of the new Rugers, but they were hard as hell to find and priced like a Wilson Combat............just happed to run across a S&W 1911TA Eseries and bam...............told myself I might as well do it right the first time

Great choice! That was my first 1911 as well and it is now my everyday carry piece. You won't be sorry!

Congrats, I have the same gun that I just picked up last week. Still haven't had the time to shoot it. Great choice let us know how she shoots when you get a chance.

Yea I can't wait to put a few rounds through it, I'll spend some time with it this weekend and clean it all up and take some better pictures. I wish their we're more free time hours in my day.

Give a good range report. I'm thinking about getting the same pistol. How do you like the front grip checkering?

I have yet to spend any real quality time with it, I just love looking at it LOL. I'll have time with it this weekend but I am still trying to deside what range I want to join. I need to break it down and clean it up this weekend. I am very excited
I just orderd a Crossbreed Super Tuck Deluxe holster and a matching gun belt all in black. I'm still getting everything together but I have been saving for a while for exactly what I wanted.

Just got mine this afternoon as well. I notice on yours it has a scratch under the slide stop, same as mine.

Yea I noticed it at the gun shop before I bought it. What are you gona do, they don't stay pretty for ever

I notice the finish seems scratch very easy. The finish is getting scratched up older the thumb safety on the driver side. It is my carry piece so I don't expect it not to ware but I guess the first scratches are the worst

I brought mines back too S&W and they Recoated it for me much better now
...

Well just got mine in from budsgunshop. I'm going to replace the ambi safety with a single side and the rest will stay the same.(a first for any 1911 I have ever owned, I normally replace many more parts than just one)
I really like the look and feel of the pistol. This weekend at the rane will determine the rest of the story.

I live in Massachusetts so a trip to S&W is not dificult at all. What fit it cost you to have it recoated. I mean I can live with it if it doesn't get worse but it seems to be fairly easy to damage the finish.

I do love this firearm, it is pure sex.
