Picture request
Anyone have a picture of a 1911 with stainless slide, black frame, and with all the controls in stainless?
I'm thinking it wouldn't mesh well but I'm split between these two looks. Basically a cross between these two colorations. http://forums.1911forum.com/showpost...&postcount=407 http://forums.1911forum.com/showpost...&postcount=387 I'm thinking the bobtail would have to be black. Also the more I look into 1911s the more I'm liking NHC for my build. Bad on the wallet though. Last edited by new2-45; 03-06-2012 at 07:00 PM. |

Hmmm...don't have any pics for you. But I think I just decided how my RO will look after I'm done working on it. Love the black frame and slide with everything else ss.

I'm not a fan of contrasting small parts. The Lightweight TII Bobtail you posted is mine and it looks classier in my bias opinion. Kevin Hillhouse built that gun and my
heine which are both flawless. I couldn't be happier with them.

Those are three of the best looking sub 5" NHC's that I've ever seen.

Thanks Shockpilot. That picture actually helps alot. I'm thinking no.
I like contrasting small parts however I think they only work when the main parts are all the same color. That picture kind of proves it for me. Unless someone comes up with another. |

![]() ![]() OK... some of the small parts are NOT chromed. I just like showing this one off.

Sig sauer made one or two models like that. The C3 here has an officer length grip but you get the idea. I think I would prefer the plunger tube to be black.

Here's mine, I didn't have a pic of it yesterday. It's not my favorite combination either but the right grips help it alot..I still think it would be a huge improvement with a black plunger tube though.
