Custom rear site?
Hey fellas, which pistolsmith would you recommend for making a rear site from scratch for a non-standard rear site cut?
Heinie and Novak don't offer a rear site that fits. Thanks! |

Or you could have a gunsmith put a standard dovetail so you can but whatever sight you could ever want

True but I THINK that would require welding/filling in the current cut then recut again.
I am trying to avoid if possible. |

Good work ain't cheap. Anyone capable will have to charge good money to accomplish what you want. Otherwise, break out a block of steel and some files......... Been there, done that.

I would like to know the standard spec's for a 1911 rear sight. I know what they are for Glock, CZ, S&W 3rd Gen..... get my drift?

Clones do not always follow the print, so anything other than the above, you're on your own. |

This. Anything can be done, just depends on how much green one is willing to lay down.

Chuck did a set of tall sights (tall enough to use with a suppressor) for me last year.
Absolutely perfect and highly recommended.
