Sig 1911 Carry Fastback Nightmare!
Unfortunately for my wallet, I just saw this on Sig's website:
http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProdu...nightmare.aspx ![]() Looks like they mistakenly cropped out the front sight in the pic (it is Sig's website after all). THEY FIXED IT.Either way, I wonder when this will hit the shelves. I am a little pissed that they have this as well, but I will keep my boring regular Carry Skorp: http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProdu...orpion-tb.aspx Last edited by Mightywhitey45; 02-09-2012 at 02:07 PM. |

Sweet looking gun!
I REALLY don't need another 1911 (or any guns) at the moment that that is very tempting! |

Maybe the front sight is a option?

Its a nightmare to shoot with out a front sight.

Thanks neighbor!
So it wasn't just an artist's rendering. And it does have front sights. ![]() I don't know why that barrel looks longer than 4.2 though. |

there is a carry version and a 5" version. the pics in this thread are the 5" version that was announced first. the carry version appears on sig's website and is indeed missing the front sight. fwiw, i am very interested in the carry version.

Got Nightmares?
I was at the 2012 Shot Show last week...The Nightmare, especially the Carry version, is a beautiful gun, it is very tight (in a good way) Stainless frame, and proportioned very well with the round butt. Lots of well thought out details. I was definitely drooling a bit. I also handled the P210 for the first time and needed an extra large drool trough. I'm probably gonna order the carry version in a few weeks. The fit and finishes were all there, I'm pretty sure Sig got it right on this one.

I just clicked my link, and noticed that they added front sights.
![]() I hope I did't shame them into fixing the picture. ![]() Looks even nicer now. And thanks Clint for reinforcing my fears.... |

What!!! Where did you see that? Under the listing on Sig's site it just says 45.

I don't know of any plans of them producing a .357 Sig 1911 at this time. A 9 and a .40, yes.
But then again, they could be? |

Definitely a .357Sig version
According to their website - http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProdu...nightmare.aspx
Item Number 1911FCA-45-NMR, 1911FCA-357-NMR Caliber 45 ACP, 357 SIG I'll be going with the .45, but I'm sure a lot of you will be loving the .357! |

Interesting. Does anyone else have a .357 Sig 1911 in current production.
Do you 1911 old-timers think that would be very reliable due to the bottleneck? Or, do you think this might be a whole 'nother problem with mags and feeding issues? |

If anything, I think a bottle neck would aid in feeding. There aren't enough sources o .357 Sig 1911's for me to say anything.
It will be cool if they pull it off. |
