LB, EB, NHC, & WC Gunsmiths
When i was researching for a semi custom 1911 to purchase, It amuses me when I'm on the NHC and WC (mostly these 2 companies) forums and read the premiere gunsmiths that built their 1911. I hardly read about any gunsmiths from the other 2 builders, I want to know does LB and EB have any great gunsmiths? I know they make great 1911.
I own a NHC GRP built by Kevin Hillhouse and Jason Pittman. |

Ed and Les have forgot more than most other "premiere" gunsmiths know. They still make and design their own guns and components.
Ed Brown parts are used throughout the industry and are considered the "Gold Standard" for many seasoned gunsmiths... Ed Brown claims to put more hand fitting and finishing in their firearms than the other semi-custom manufacturers. All Ed Brown pistols are inspected/certified, by Ed or one of his two sons, before shipment. Last edited by tgun45; 11-04-2011 at 08:47 PM. Reason: additional info. |

Of course they have great gunsmiths. The fit and finish on my Ed Brown Kobra is absolutely perfect. The reason you see the gunsmiths names on the WC and NH forums is because the test targets they ship with WC and NH guns are signed by who built the pistol.

Les Baer does the same, each pistol is shipped with a certificate with all the signatures of the people who worked on it.
