Changing S&W 6906 HAMMER




Can the 5906 hammer be put in a 6906 ? I would like to do it to mine. Thanks Roch

Yes, the hammer on the 3rd gen. Smiths are not a fitted part.
Although I'm not sure if the hammer spur is the same,
Also perform a safety check before you shoot it

Brownells usually sells SW 3rd gen parts. They have a SW 5906 hammer assembly for $43.60 but it is listed as out of stock. They are pretty good at getting the OOS items in a short time frame. Good luck. I have both the 5906 and 6906 and both are great guns.
