I've only seen it in the catalog. I've had one on order for 3 months. It's called a 1911 Traditional Match Elite. It's on page 22 of the catalog.

Sig better hurry up and put this gun out.

I'll add a fourth. My dealer has two on order and one has my name on it. Just picked up a Sig 1911-22 from him, in the meantime, to satisfy the itch.

Adios,

PIzza Bob

I have an order in as well. Looking forward to having it come in, unfortunately, at this time, I know nothing other than it actually appeared on the website about 2-3 weeks ago.

Earlier this year, a special order was 6-7 weeks away. This has not been improved upon. They produced the same volume in one particular month this year as they did ALL in one year back in 2008 or 2009, I forget.

It looks like they might be out soon. At least one Internet dealer says they have one in stock. I was hoping for an 800 dollar price tag, but it looks like I have to sell some stuff.

I have the Kimber 9mm and to be honest, its not that great and have better accuracy with other standard 9mm. Granted the fit and feel is awesome but for me I just don't shoot well with it. Now, in the .45 its a much better story.
It would be interesting to try Sig's version.
I have debated about selling to produce funds to buy something else.

Life is too short to own any gun, especially something in the Kimber price range, that you have to use the phrase "It's not that great" about. Sell it and get something great!

Good point.
May take the 9s out again next weekend. If it still doesn't have the "wow" factor I will sell it and put the cash to better use.

We've had them ordered since the shot show last Jan 11, They were scheduled to arrive 11/11 on my next to last BO sheet. Last friday I got an updated version and the delivery date is now into 2012. Maybe some other guys got their ordereds in before mine at SHOT 2011.

I heard a little rumor from an employee at my lgs that they're working on a p238 in 9mm(according to his Sig rep). Most likely to compete directly with the EMP.

Not that this is what I would like to be reporting . . . .

I was at my LGS where I have my Traditional Match Elite 9mm on order and the shop manager informed me that when he checked his backordered status today. He was informed that some time in January is when the 9mm 1911's would start to ship. This, unfortunately, is consistant with and lends even more credence to some of the previous posts.

I'm in denial waiting on mine. I keep showing up at the LGS looking for it and buying other guns. Maybe it's really sitting in the back and the counter guys are trying to drive me crazy I have bought 3 9mm 1911's since my order of this Sig. IMO all have been crap. One is back at the mothership for repairs, the other 2 are for sale. I hope the Sig is worth the wait and is the shooter that my Tac Ops and C3P are.
