Sig 1911 Slide and frame ?

The slides were forged and then machined.. Does Sig cast the frames or are they now forged? Does Sig forge or cast these parts? If not who does it for them. Thanks

The slides are machined from forgings in house. The frames are forged but purchased by an outside vendor.

They are very high quality frame and slide sets.
